Montana School of Ministry

What is MSOM (Montana School of Ministry)?

MSOM is a School of ministry affiliated with the Berean School of Bible and Global University that provides all of the classes necessary for the credentialing at each level in the Assemblies of God.

Although the classes offered by MSOM are not accredited, each student has the opportunity to receive credit for the classes by transferring completed classes to Global University.

MSOM operated for 9 months out of the year with no classes being offered in June, July and December.

How does it work?

  • Advance home study for one month before class
  • Textbook study guide
  • Classroom instruction/discussion (6 hours per course)
  • Final Exam
  • One Saturday per month

What does it cost?

  • Enrollment:  $75.00
  • Tuition and books:  $125.00 per course
  • Additional costs:  travel, lodging and food

ACADEMIC COURSEWORK

Level 1

Upon completion of the Level One Ministerial Certificate, a student should possess the academic requirements to apply for Certified Minister status in the Assemblies of God. This would include a working knowledge of Bible study methods, New Testament content, and Pentecostal doctrine. He or she should possess the basic skills needed to begin serving in a ministerial role in the local church.

Level 2

Upon completion of Level Two Ministerial Certificate, a student should possess the academic requirements to apply for Licensed Minister status in the Assemblies of God. This would include a mastery of specific Bible content, systematic theology, and ministry skills.

Level 3

Upon completion of Level Three Ministerial Certificate, a student should possess the academic requirements to apply for Ordained Minister status in the Assemblies of God. This would include mastery of several of the more difficult books of the Bible, advanced theological concepts, and administrative skills required for ministerial roles.
